Each year, the City of Boston Credit Union awards Thomas Coyne Annual Scholarships to deserving students of all ages. Scholarships are also offered through the Cooperative Credit Union Association.We’re proud to support students in the communities we serve!
Thomas Coyne Annual Scholarships
In honor of former Credit Union Manager Thomas Coyne, fifteen Thomas Coyne Annual Scholarships of $1,000 are awarded each year. Eligibility spans tuition-based programs from elementary school through graduate school and trade school.
Each spring, all members in good standing receive an official entry form in the mail for a drawing that takes place in late spring.
Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA) Better Values-Better Banking Annual Scholarship
This $1,500 scholarship, offered through the Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA), is only available to high school seniors who will be enrolled in an undergraduate college or university program the following academic year.
Students must submit the following items with their completed applications. All items requested must be received for the application to qualify for consideration.
- Completed printed Application (Download the application here)
- An academic transcript of grades.
- A typewritten essay of at least 250 words describing what career you wish to pursue, and why.
- A detailed list of extracurricular/community and/or volunteer activities.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Applications are due back to City of Boston Credit Union no later than Friday, April 15, 2022. Applications and supporting documentation may be dropped off at any branch location or mailed to City of Boston Credit Union, Vice President of Marketing, One Union Street, 3rd floor, Boston, MA 02108.
