CBCU in the Community – Month in Review!
Below are all the financial literacy and community initiatives City of Boston Credit Union presented, coordinated or volunteered at from 9/1 through 10/31.
- Boston Public Library, continues to meet on a monthly basis serving a diverse population of BPL members
- Gavin Foundation, continues to meet on an every three week basis, serving a new population of folks in substance abuse recovery at each session.
- CBCU was once again invited to lead two sessions at the Nobles & Greenough ACHIEVE Program. This program empowers city youth to challenge the opportunity gap, bringing them together for academic programming and leadership skills to take the next step in their academic journey.
- The CBCU Jeans Day initiative continues to do well, as staff members participate each week by donating a dollar for the opportunity to give back to the community. Our first designated charity is the Katie Strong Foundation, supporting the family of a CBCU member whose daughter sadly passed away at a young age.
- Winter Coat Drive – beginning on Monday, 10/28, CBCU will once again host a winter coat, socks, hats and gloves clothing drive at each of our branch locations. Word will be spread through email and social media to our membership.
